NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday was poised to propose a ban on listed derivatives used to bet on U.S. elections and other major real world events, its chair said.

BERLIN (Reuters) - Protesters opposed to expansion of U.S. electric vehicle maker Tesla's plant in Grueneheide near Berlin clashed with police as some of them attempted to storm the facility on Friday.

Some 800 people took part in the protest, according to the organising group Disrupt Tesla, which claims the expansion would damage the environment.

(Reuters) - The United States is preparing a $400 million military aid package for Ukraine, as the U.S. returns to a regular pace of supplying weapons to Kyiv after the passage of a $95 billion bill, a U.S. official told Reuters on Friday.

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Prince William said on Friday his wife Kate was "doing well" in a rare public comment about the Princess of Wales as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy for cancer.
