SINGAPORE, Feb 9 (Reuters) - ⁠The yen extended ⁠a ‍string of recent losses in early Asian trading on Monday after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi swept to victory in Sunday's election, easing the path to further ‍fiscal stimulus.  

The yen slid as much as 0.3% to 157.72 yen against the ​dollar, its seventh consecutive day of decline, to reach its weakest level in two weeks.

Musk says SpaceX to prioritise building self-growing city on Moon Feb 8, 2026 06:43PM

Feb ⁠8 (Reuters) - Elon ⁠Musk ‍said on Sunday that ‍SpaceX has shifted its ​focus to building ​a “self‑growing city” on the Moon, which he said could ​be achieved in less than ​10 years.

Japan's real wages down every month in 2025 Feb 8, 2026 06:32PM

TOKYO, Feb 9 (Reuters) - ⁠Japan's real ⁠wages ‍shrank in December for a 12th consecutive month, as nominal pay growth slightly undershot ‍slowing consumer inflation, labour ministry data showed on ​Monday.

Wage trends are among the most important data factors for ​the Bank of Japan (BOJ) to decide the next interest hike, after a December hike of 25bp to 0.75%.
