Vulcan rejects Mexico's 'illegal expropriation' of its investments May 27, 2024 01:34PM

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - U.S. construction company Vulcan Materials on Monday rejected what it considers the "illegal expropriation" of its investments in Mexico and said it remains open to a negotiated solution with the Mexican government.

Israel's Netanyahu says Rafah strike went tragically wrong and will be investigated May 27, 2024 01:25PM

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday an air strike in the area of Rafah in southern Gaza that killed dozens of Palestinians was not intended to cause civilian casualties and would be investigated.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The Bank of Israel will have a hard time continuing to lower short-term interest rates as long as inflation pressures persist and Israel's war against Hamas remains uncertain and drives up government spending, governor Amir Yaron said on Monday.

The central bank earlier on Monday kept its benchmark rate at 4.5% for a third straight month, as had been widely expected.

(Reuters) - Argentina's President Javier Milei is set to meet with top-level executives from Google, Meta and Apple during a trip to the United States this week, his spokesman Manuel Adorni said on Monday.
