Samsung Sues Apple (AAPL) Twice More as Patent Battle Heats Up

In the continuing battle over tech domination, Samsung is once again firing shots.

Reports Monday suggest Samsung is suing to stop the sale of Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) new iPhone 4S in Japan and Australia. Samsung filed injunctions with Tokyo District Court and in the New South Wales Registry, Australia. Samsung is also seeking to stop the sale of Apple's iPad 2 and iPhone 4 in Japan.

Samsung is also seeking to ban sales of the iPhone 4S in France and Italy, as well as ongoing litigation in a handful of other countries.

In Japan, Samsung thinks Apple infringed on technology and user-interface patents, while it's suing for wireless telecommunications standards infringement in Australia.

The move comes as Samsung has been dealt a few blows over the past week, with Apple winning temporary injunctions in the Netherlands and Australia as of late last week.

Notably, Samsung CEO Lee Jae-Yong attended a memorial service for the late Steve Jobs on Sunday.

Shares of Apple are trading 0.44 percent better Monday morning.
