Below is the 2016 "Dogs of the Dow" list, which represents the top 10 dividend yielding stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average at the beginning of the year.
According to our calculations, four new stocks will be added to the list this year: IBM (NYSE: IBM), Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG), Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE: WMT) and Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO).
Removed were: AT&T (NYSE: T) (removed from the Dow, not for yield), McDonalds (NYSE: MCD), Coca-Coka (NYSE: KO) and GE (NYSE: GE)

Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) - Dividend Yield 4.9%- 2015 performance -1.1%
Chevron (NYSE: CVX) - Dividend Yield 4.7% - 2015 performance -19.7%
Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) - Dividend Yield 4.5% - 2015 performance -25.6%
IBM (NYSE: IBM) - Dividend Yield 3.8% - 2015 performance -14.3% (NEW ADDITION)
Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) - Dividend Yield 3.7% - 2015 performance +4%
ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM) - Dividend Yield 3.7% - 2015 performance -15.8%
Merck (NYSE: MRK) - Dividend Yield 3.5% - 2015 performance -6.7%
Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG) - Dividend Yield 3.3% - 2015 performance -12.7% (NEW ADDITION)
Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE: WMT) - Dividend Yield 3.2% - 2015 performance -28.6% (NEW ADDITION)
Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) - Dividend Yield 3.09% - 2015 performance -2.4% (NEW ADDITION)
