Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: SWHC) 24% LOWER; the Company currently expects to report revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 in the range of $69.0 million to $71.0 million. The Company expects to report earnings for the second quarter of fiscal 2008 in the range of $0.05 to $0.07 per fully diluted share. Expects revenue to increase to approximately $325 million in fiscal 2008, which is lower than previous guidance of $330 million.

Superconductor Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: SCON) 20% HIGHER; entered into a sales agreement to provide STI's SuperLink solution to China Corporate Credit Assurance Co. Ltd. for deployment in 2G and 3G networks in China.

Bradley Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE: BDY) 22% HIGHER; entered into a definitive merger agreement with Nycomed US Inc., a subsidiary of Nycomed S.C.A., SICAR, pursuant to which all outstanding shares of the Company will be converted into $20.00 per share in cash.

Volcom Inc. (Nasdaq: VLCM) 21% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.59, 3 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.56. Revenues for the quarter were $91 million, versus the consensus of $90.84 million. Volcom sees Q4 EPS to be in the range of $0.30 - $0.32, versus the consensus of $0.47. FY07 EPS are expected to be between $1.37 and $1.39, versus the analyst estimate of $1.50.

LCA-Vision Inc. (Nasdaq: LCAV) 16% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.51, in-line with estimates. Revenues came in at $74.6 million, versus the consensus of $74.6 million. LCA-Vision sees Q4 EPS significantly below $0.27, versus the consensus of $0.52. LCA-Vision is suspending its revenue forecast.

American Medical Systems (Nasdaq: AMMD) 13% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.09, 2 cents lower than the analyst consensus of $0.11. Revenues for the quarter were $109 million, versus the consensus of $112.09 million. American Medical expects Q4 EPS to be in the range of $0.15 to $0.20, versus the consensus of $0.24. Also, FY07 EPS are expected to be between $0.40 and $0.45, versus the consensus of $0.51.

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) 12.6% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.63, 11 cents worse than the analyst consensus of $0.74. Revenues for the quarter were $1.58 billion, versus the consensus of $1.56 billion.

CF Industries (NYSE: CF) 11% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.52, 55 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.97. Revenues for the quarter were $582.9 million, versus the consensus of $536.9 million.

SOHU.com (Nasdaq: SOHU) 9.8% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.30, 9 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.21. Revenues for the quarter were $51.5 million, versus the consensus of $46.54 million. SOHU expects Q4 EPS to be $0.33 to $0.35, versus the consensus of $0.24. Revenues are expected to be $53.5 to $55.5 million, versus the consensus $49.1 million.

Alfacell Corporation (Nasdaq: ACEL) 9% HIGHER; announced that Dr. Intae Lee with the University of Pennsylvania has reported that Alfacell's ONCONASE could be a promising radiation sensitizer for lung cancer treatment.

Liz Claiborne Inc. (NYSE: LIZ) 9% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.63, 5 cents worse than estimates. Revenues came in at $1.263 billion, versus the consensus of $1.33 billion. Liz Claiborne sees FY EPS of $1.70-$1.80, versus prior guidance of $1.90-$2.00 and the consensus of $1.94.

Saks Incorporated (NYSE: SKS) 9% HIGHER; In an amended 13D filing on Saks, Johannesson Jon Asgeir/Baugur disclosed an 8.5% stake (12,210,000 shares) in the company. Jon Asgeir noted that after purchasing the shares and becoming more familiar with the company, including through meetings with members of management, they determined that it would like to explore the possibility of making a proposal for the acquisition of the company.

AGCO Corp. (NYSE: AG) 8.7% HIGHER; reports Q3 adj-EPS of $0.77, versus the consensus of $0.30. Revenues came in at $1.6 billion versus the consensus of $1.37 billion. AGCO Sees Fy EPS of $2.10-$2.20, versus the consensus of $1.76.

Portfolio Recovery Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq: PRAA) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.75, 5 cents lower than the analyst consensus of $0.80. Revenues for the quarter were $54.6 million, versus the consensus of $56.01 million.

LDK Solar Co., Ltd. (NYSE: LDK) 7% LOWER; announced that its Audit Committee has commenced an independent investigation into the recent allegations made by LDK's former employee, Mr. Charley Situ, that the Company has incorrectly reported its inventories of polysilicon. The two outside directors on the Company's Audit Committee, Louis T. Hsieh and Bing Xiang, are overseeing the ongoing investigation.

Powerwave Technologies (Nasdaq: PWAV) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of ($0.08), in line with analyst consensus of ($0.08). Revenues for the quarter were $200.7 million, versus the consensus of $202.78 million.

Actuate Corporation (Nasdaq: ACTU) 7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.09, 1 cent better than the analyst consensus of $0.08. Revenues for the quarter were $34.7 million, versus the consensus of $34.59 million

Spartan Motors Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAR) 4% HIGHER; will replace Authorize.Net Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: ANET) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Thursday, November 1, 2007.

BJ Services Company (NYSE: BJS) 2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.64, 4 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $1.28 billion, versus the consensus of $1.21 billion. BJ Services sees Q1 EPS of $0.58-$0.60, versus the consensus of $0.63. BJ Services sees FY EPS of $2.35-$2.45, versus the consensus of $2.51.

Cornell Companies Inc. (NYSE: CRN) INDICATED LOWER; cuts forecast. Still sees Q3 EPS of $0.14-$0.17, versus the consenssu of $0.17. For the fourth quarter, however, Cornell announced that it now anticipates a reduction from its previous estimate of $0.36-0.39 per diluted share resulting primarily from two factors; a slower ramp in the intake of new inmates at its Great Plains Correctional Facility in Hinton, Oklahoma and higher staffing costs at its Regional Correctional Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
