Transmeta Corporation (NASDAQ: TMTA) 261% HIGHER; The company reached an agreement with Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) to settle all claims between them and to license the Transmeta patent portfolio to Intel for use in current and future Intel products. The agreement provides for Intel to make an initial $150 million payment to Transmeta as well as to pay Transmeta an annual license fee of $20 million for each of the next five years.
Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: RVBD) 22% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.17, in-line with the analyst consensus of $0.17. Revenues for the quarter were $63.3 million, versus the consensus of $61.41 million.
ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANAD) 19% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.11, 1 cent lower than the analyst consensus of $0.12. Revenues for the quarter were $59.5 million, versus the consensus of $59.31 million. ANADIGICS expects Q4 EPS to be withint the range of $0.11 to $0.13, versus the consensus of $0.14.
Broadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) 13% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.27, in-line with the analyst consensus of $0.27. Revenues for the quarter were $950 million, versus the consensus of $929.66 million.
Altera Corporation (Nasdaq: ALTR) 12% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.20, 1 cent better than the analyst consensus of $0.19. Revenues for the quarter were $315.8 million, versus the consensus of $325.15 million. Sees Q4 revenues unchanged to ($0.04) sequentially.
SAVVIS (Nasdaq: SVVS) 11.6% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.10, which may not compare to the consensus of $0.01. Revenues for the quarter were $190.3 million, versus the analysts estimate of $196.7 million. SAVVIS expects Q4 revenues to be in the range of $197 million to $200 million, versus the consensus of $207 million. Sees FY08 $910 million to $925 million, versus the consensus of $930.7 million.

Amazon.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) 9% LOWER; Reported Q3 EPS of $0.19, 1 cent better than the analyst consensus of $0.18. Revenues for the quarter were $3.26 billion, versus the consensus of $3.14 billion. Sees Q4 revenues to be in the range of $5.1 to $5.45 billion versus the consensus of $5.16 billion.
Juniper Networks (Nasdaq: JNPR) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.22, 1 cent better than the analyst consensus of $0.21. Revenues for the quarter were $735 million, versus the consensus of $709.8 million.
Phase Forward Incorporated (Nasdaq: PFWD) 7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.16, 2 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.14. Revenues for the quarter were $34.9 million, versus the consensus of $33.7 million. Phase Forward expects Q4 EPS to be in the range of $0.15-$0.16, versus the consensus of $0.15.
RF Micro Devices, Inc.(Nasdaq: RFMD) 6.7% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.11, 4 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.07. Revenues for the quarter were $255.8 million, versus the consensus of $240.98 million. RF Micro Devices expects Q3 EPS to be in the range of $0.08-$0.09, versus the consensus of $0.09. Revenues are expected to be in the range of $265 million - $280 million, versus the consensus of $268 million.
QLogic (Nasdaq: QLGC) 5% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.22, 4 cents better than the analyst consensus of $0.18. Revenues for the quarter were $140.3 million, versus the consensus of $139.44 million.
Corning Inc. (NYSE: GLW) 5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.38, 1 cent better than estimates. Revenues came in at $1.55 billion versus the consensus of $1.55 billion. Sees Q4 EPS of $0.36-$0.38, versus the consensus of $0.39. Sees Q4 revenues of $1.5-$1.55 billion versus the consensus of $1.62 billion.
TASER International Inc. (Nasdaq: TASR) 4% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.09, 4 cents better than estimates. Revenues came in at $28.5 million versus the consensus of $23.7 million. Revenues were at a new record and a 56% increase over the same quarter of the prior year.
Jacobs Engineering (NYSE: JEC) 4% HIGHER; S&P MidCap 400 constituent Jacobs Engineering will replace Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV) in the S&P 500.
Moody's Corp. (NYSE: MCO) 3.8% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.51, below the consensus of $0.55. Revenues came in at $525 million, versus the consensus of $520.25 million. Moody's full year revenue guidance revised downward to high-single-digit to double-digit percent growth and EPS to mid- to high-single-digit percent growth
The Childrens Place Retail Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCE) 3.4% HIGHER; announced that it has hired Lehman Brothers to review strategic alternatives to improve operations and enhance shareholder value.
