Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG) +$9.15; Breaks resistance and passes the $500 mark for the first time ever today. The shares have been holding comfortably above that level the entire trading session.
Mothers Work (Nasdaq: MWRK) +$7.89; Reports a Q4 loss of $0.11, 1 cent better than estimates. (The company reported a loss of $0.01 before the debt repurchase charges) Revenues were $142.83 million vs. $142.95 million consensus. Sees FY07 revenues between $615-$627 million vs. $614.76 million consensus.
NYSE Group (NYSE: NYX) +$7.51; Stock seeing interest with no specific news releases, however, the LSE rejected the latest offer from NASDAQ which might be viewed as a positive for NYX.
Brown Shoe Company (NYSE: BWS) +$6.25; Reports Q3 EPS of $0.93 (adjusted EPS was $0.97) vs. $0.84 consensus. Revenues were $676.81 million vs. $652.65 million consensus. Sees Q4 EPS between $0.65-0.70 vs. $0.64 consensus. Sees FY EPS between $2.38-2.43 ($2.23-2.38 including stock option expenses) vs. $2.22.
Medtronic (NYSE: MDT) +$4.27; Reports Q2 EPS of $0.59, 3 cents better than estimates.(0.56) Revenues were $3.075 billion vs. $2.97 billion consensus.

Strayer Education (Nasdaq: STRA) -$6.07; Citigroup downgrades STRA to Sell
NYMEX HOLDINGS (NYSE: NMX) -$4.82; Stock down with no specific news release, however, the move could be attributed to a sell-off after the initial IPO pop or news between the NASDAQ and LSE exchanges.
Genesis HealthCare (Nasdaq: GHCI) -$3.59; Reports Q4 GAAP EPS of $0.45 (non-GAAP EPS of $0.62) vs. consensus of $0.61. Revenues were $453.6 million vs. $451.16 million consensus. GHC is initiating its fiscal 2007 earnings guidance of $2.43 to $2.48 per diluted share (GAAP basis) vs. consensus of $2.59.
Advanced Medical Optics (NYSE: EYE) -$3.35; Announced a nationwide, voluntary recall of certain lots of its 12-ounce COMPLETE MoisturePLUS multipurpose contact lens care solution and Active Packs.
