Its entered Canada, and will be moving into Latin America shortly, but Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) isn't done yet.
According to reports Tuesday night, Netflix is targeting a launch in Spain, possibly by January 2012.
Netflix has indicated it would like to move into select Asian markets by late 2012.
Neither of the rumors have been officially confirmed by Netflix.
Some sources say Netflix executives have been visiting London and Spain over the last month in a effort to set up distribution channels and strike deals with networks. Unconfirmed reports have Netflix already striking a deal with Lions Gate's (NYSE: LGF) U.K. division.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings previously announced the company would be entering a new market in early 2012.
But competition already exists in Europe with LoveFilm, which Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) acquired earlier in the year. LoveFilm has operations in U.K., Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
Shares are down modestly early Wednesday.
