MasTec adds utility veteran Manny Miranda to its board

MasTec, Inc. (NYSE: MTZ) has appointed Manny Miranda to its board of directors as a Class II Director, the company announced.



Miranda brings more than 40 years of experience in the utility industry, having held leadership roles at Florida Power & Light and Florida City Gas. His background spans transmission, substations, distribution, engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, customer service, system reliability, storm hardening, and commercial operations.



He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Miami and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Miranda currently serves on the board of CenterPoint Energy (NYSE: CNP) and Ubicquia, Inc., as well as the University of Miami College of Engineering Advisory Board.



MasTec Chairman Jorge Mas said in a statement that Miranda's "deep understanding of electric and natural gas infrastructure, combined with his operational expertise and industry relationships, will be invaluable assets as MasTec continues to help build and modernize North America's critical infrastructure."



Miranda said he looks "forward to leveraging my deep knowledge of utility operations to enhance MasTec's strategic positioning with utility clients."



MasTec is an infrastructure engineering and construction company operating across four segments: Communications, Power Delivery, Pipeline Infrastructure, and Clean Energy and Infrastructure.
