Sprint Announces Palm Pre (PALM) Coming Nationwide on June 6

Sprint (NYSE: S) announced pricing and nationwide availability for the highly anticipated Palm Pre (Nasdaq: PALM) phone, offered exclusively from Sprint. Palm Pre will be available nationwide on June 6 in Sprint stores, Best Buy (NYSE: BBY), Radio Shack (NYSE: RSH), select Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) stores and online at Sprint.com for $199.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate.

Running on the new Palm webOS(TM) mobile platform, Pre brings together your important information from where it resides - on your phone, at your work or on the web - into one logical view.

There has been much hype about the Palm Pre, with some claiming it is better than Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) popular iPhone. We will have to see if Sprint can get it to the masses in a way to keep Palm's stock in orbit.
