Las Vegas Sands (LVS) Sinks 20% Despite Positive News

Despite several seemingly positive news items this week, shares of Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) are tumbling today amid broader markets which are only marginally lower. The stock is currently sitting near session lows and is down 20%, or $1.31, from yesterday's close, to $5.22.
Yesterday, Las Vegas Sands released its reissued '07 statements, removing the "going concern" language from the statement. Secondly, we are hearing reports from Las Vegas Sands' President, William Weidner, that the casino-operator now has enough capital to finish a project in Singapore.
Las Vegas Sands Corp. and its subsidiaries develop multi use integrated resorts worldwide.
