Dan Loeb's Third Point LLC released its 13F for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Notably the firm showed new stakes in Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: GILD); raised their stake in Williams Cos. (NYSE: WMB); lowered stake in El Paso Corp. (NYSE: EP); liquidated NXP Semiconductors N.V. (Nasdaq: NXPI), Safeway, Inc. (NYSE: SWY).

The firm also showed a stake new stake in Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO), but this position was already disclosed in a 13D filing intra-quarter. Loeb has been activity involved in trying to get the company sold.
