AmREIT (NYSE: AMRE) announced late Friday that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Edens Investment Trust (EDENS) under which EDENS will acquire all outstanding shares of common stock of AmREIT for $26.55 per share in an all-cash transaction with a total enterprise value of approximately $763 million.
