Covenant Transportation Group Announces Third Quarter Financial and Operating Results
October 21, 2014 4:00 PM EDTCHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Oct. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Covenant Transportation Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: CVTI) announced today financial and operating results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014.
Highlights for the quarter included the following:
Total revenue of $177.6 million, an increase of 3.9% compared with the third quarter of 2013. Freight revenue of $142.0 million (excludes revenue from fuel surcharges), an increase of 5.7% compared with the third quarter of 2013. Operating income of $5.6 million and an operating ratio of 96.1%, compared with operating income of $5.9 million and an operating ratio of 95.6% in the third quarter of 2013. Operating income... More
