Abbvie, Inc. (ABBV) Tops Q2 EPS by 6c; Guides Q3 EPS to Strong Side

Abbvie, Inc. (NYSE: ABBV) reported Q2 EPS of $0.82, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.76. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.93 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.7 billion.
"This was another very strong quarter for AbbVie, as we delivered sales and earnings per share above our original guidance and announced plans to merge with Shire, a strategic action that will further enhance our long-term growth prospects," said Richard A.
