Aegerion (AEGR) Q1 Juxtapid Sales 'Surprisingly Weak', Jefferies Says

May 6, 2014 4:34 PM EDTAegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AEGR) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.25), $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.35). Revenue for the quarter came in at $27 million versus the consensus estimate of $33.58 million.
Highlights
Aegerion achieved $27.0 million in net product sales of JUXTAPID® (lomitapide) capsules in the first-quarter of 2014. 96% of net product sales in the first quarter were from the United States business, representing growth of 24% over net product sales from the U.S. business in the prior quarter. The Company now expects to achieve between $180 million and $200 million of net product sales... More
