Simmons First Announces First Quarter Earnings
April 17, 2014 9:00 AM EDTPINE BLUFF, Ark., April 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Simmons First National Corporation (Nasdaq: SFNC) today announced first quarter 2014 core earnings of $7.5 million, an increase of $1.4 million, or 23.0%, compared to the same quarter last year. Diluted core earnings per share were $0.46, an increase of $0.09, or 24.3%. Core earnings exclude $3.1 million in after-tax non-interest merger related expenses and branch right sizing costs. Including the non-core expenses, net income was $4.4 million and diluted earnings per share were $0.27.
