United Rentals, Inc. (URI) Tops Q1 EPS by 19c
April 16, 2014 4:16 PM EDTUnited Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.90, $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of $0.71. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.18 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.18 billion.
First Quarter 2014 Highlights
Rental revenue (which includes owned equipment rental revenue, re-rent revenue and ancillary items) increased 9.7% year-over-year. Within rental revenue, owned equipment rental revenue increased 9.1%, reflecting year-over-year increases of 7.6% in the volume of equipment on rent and 4.3% in rental rates.
