March 20, 2014 3:48 PM EDTNeedham & Company analyst James Ricchiuti weighed in on the 3D printing sector today amid two new developments 1) ExOne (NASDAQ: XONE) reported mixed Q4 results and weak guidance; 2) H-P (NYSE: HP) announced plans to enter the 3D printing market in June.
First on the ExOne news, the analyst said the results don't provide any read-through for Stratasys (NASDAQ: SSYS) and 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD). He said, "We don't see any derivative calls off the disappointing Q4 results... More

Barclays upgraded Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) from Equalweight to Overweight with a price target of $38.00 (from$33). Analyst Ben A. Reitzes thinks HP can gain share in x86 servers due to security concerns after IBM complete a sale of its x86 server business to Lenovo.
