Oracle Corp (ORCL) Misses Q3 EPS by 2c, Sales Light

Oracle Corp (NASDAQ: ORCL) reported Q3 EPS of $0.68, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.70. Revenue for the quarter rose 4% to $9.3 billion versus the consensus estimate of $9.36 billion.

Part of the blame was a higher U.S. dollar. Without the impact of the US dollar strengthening compared to foreign currencies, Oracle's reported Q3 GAAP earnings per share would have been up 10% and non-GAAP earnings per share would have been up 7%.
