Saks (SKS) Confirms Deal to Be Acquired by Hudson's Bay for $16/Share
July 29, 2013 7:03 AM EDTSaks, Inc. (NYSE: SKS) confirmed a deal to be acquired by Hudson's Bay Company for US$16.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately US$2.9 billion, including debt.
The transaction has been approved by each companys board of directors and is expected to close before the end of the calendar year, subject to approval by Saks shareholders, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
This transaction will bring together three of the retail industrys most iconic brands Hudsons Bay, Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue to create a leading North... More
