JCPenney (NYSE: JCP) CEO Ron Johnson is making a strong effort to turn around the company. However, his work habits are leaving some employees steaming.

According to the NY Post, Johnson is said to only be at the retailer's Plano, Texas, headquarters about "four days per week, if that," according to one employee.

JCPenney (NYSE: JCP) CEO Ron Johnson spoke with CNBC this morning, issuing comments about how he thinks the first year under his reign went.

Notably, following earlier reports that there might be layoffs at the company's headquarters, Johnson said there's about "a rumor per day on JCPenney and that he won't "comment on that," only that the retailer is looking to operate in the most cost-effective way.
