Caterpillar (CAT) Slips as Macro Issues, China Pressure Q3 Results and Expectations
October 22, 2012 8:58 AM EDTCaterpillar (NYSE: CAT) is lower in early trading following decent third-quarter results, but guidance that failed to boost investor confidence.
Sales and revs at the industrial machinery giant popped 5 percent from last year to $16.45 billion. Gross profit was $1.699 billion, or $2.54 per share, up 49 percent from the same period last year.
