Dollar General (DG): Another Day, Another Discount Retailers Earnings Beat
September 5, 2012 8:14 AM EDTShares of Dollar General (NYSE: DG) are moving higher in pre-market trading on Wednesday after the retailer reported Q2 earnings and revenue that were better than analyst estimates. Revenue for the quarter was reported at $3.95 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.82 billion, and prior year revenue of $3.57 billion. Comps rose by 5.1 percent. On... More

Dollar General (NYSE: DG) reported Q2 adjusted-EPS of $0.69, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.64. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.95 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.96 billion.
Comps up 5.1%.
