SunOpta Announces Shareholder Approval of Proposed Acquisition by Refresco
April 17, 2026 8:00 AM EDTMINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SunOpta Inc. (SunOpta or the Company) (Nasdaq: STKL) (TSX: SOY), a North American supply chain solutions provider, today announced that its shareholders approved the proposed acquisition of the Company by an affiliate of Refresco Holding B.V. (Refresco) for US$6.50 per share in cash pursuant to the previously-announced plan of arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act (the Arrangement) at the Companys special meeting of shareholders held on April 16, 2026.
