JPMorgan Upgrades Urban Outfitters, Inc. (URBN) to Overweight
May 22, 2025 4:50 AM EDTJPMorgan analyst Matthew Boss upgraded Urban Outfitters, Inc. (NASDAQ: URBN) from Neutral to Overweight with a price target of $78.00 (from $63.00).
The analyst comments "URBN reported 1Q EPS of $1.16 (38% above Street at $0.84) driven by a beat across line-items, including +5% same-store-sales growth (above Street +3.4%), adj. gross margin expansion of +240bps Y/Y to 36.8% (> Street 35.4%), and SG&A leverage of 65bps to 27.1% of sales (below Street 27.8%), equating to operating margin expansion of +305bps Y/Y to 9.6% (> Street 7.6%).
