Morgan Stanley sees attractive buying opportunity in this sector after recent selloff
December 25, 2024 10:00 AM ESTMorgan Stanley analysts see the recent 15% selloff in midcap banks as a compelling buying opportunity, highlighting several positive catalysts for the sector in 2025.
In a note Monday, the bank said the group, which has seen declines ranging from 10% to 30% among coverage names, now trades at just 11x 2025 EPS and 9.5x 2026 EPSwell below the historical average of 14x NTM P/E.
