(NASDAQ: GOOG; GOOGL) today announced that Anat Ashkenazi, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Eli Lilly and Company, will join its management team as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Google and Alphabet, effective July 31, 2024.
The company had previously announced in July 2023 that Ruth Porat was commencing a new role as President & Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google. She will continue as CFO until Anat starts, including through the companys Q2 earnings.

(Reuters) -Alphabet named Anat Ashkenazi as its chief financial officer on Wednesday, turning to a top executive from drugmaker Eli Lilly to help steer the Google parent in the generative artificial intelligence era.
Ashkenazi's departure from Lilly was announced earlier in the day. At Alphabet, she will succeed Ruth Porat, the company's longtime CFO whose transition to the role of investment chief was unveiled in July 2023 after years of strong growth.

Crypto miners become acquisition targets amid race for power capacity
June 5, 2024 7:20 AM EDTInvesting.com -- Crypto miner Core Scientific Inc (NASDAQ: CORZ) has inked a 12-year agreement with AI hyperscaler CoreWeave to host CoreWeave's GPUs, drawing as much as 200MW of power. The deal is expected to generate $3.5 billion in revenue, roughly $290 million annually, for Core Scientific.Â
