Provident Financial Services, Inc. Announces First Quarter EarningsĀ and Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend
April 18, 2024 5:00 PM EDTISELIN, N.J., April 18, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Provident Financial Services, Inc. (NYSE: PFS) (the Company) reported net income of $32.1 million, or $0.43 per basic and diluted share for the three months ended March 31, 2024, compared to $27.3 million, or $0.36 per basic and diluted share, for the three months ended December 31, 2023 and $40.5 million, or $0.54 per basic and diluted share, for the three months ended March 31, 2023. Net income for the trailing quarter ended December 31, 2023 was negatively impacted by a $3.0 million charge for contingent litigation reserves and a $2.0 million write-down of a foreclosed property.
