Synopsys (SNPS) agrees on $35bn deal to acquire ANSYS (ANSS)
January 16, 2024 8:39 AM ESTANSYS (NASDAQ: ANSS) shares fell premarket Tuesday after it was announced that the company has to be acquired by Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS) for approximately $35 billion in cash and stock.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ansys shareholders will receive $197 in cash and 0.3450 shares of Synopsys for each Ansys share they own, representing an enterprise value of around $35 billion based on the closing price of Synopsys on December 21, 2023.
