Shares Akero Therapeutics (NASDAQ: AKRO) declined after it reported analysis of data from its study of efruxifermin (EFX) in patients with compensated cirrhosis (F4) due to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The stock declined as much as 60% shortly after the data release.

The drug missed its primary endpoint but efficacy trends were positive in a tough population, and the selloff in shares could be an overreaction, said analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald.
