Toyota (TM) to resume domestic operations Wednesday following a system failure
August 29, 2023 12:07 PM EDTToyota (NYSE: TM) revealed its intention to resume operations at its Japanese assembly plants starting Wednesday. The restart follows a recent production system malfunction which brought the automakers domestic output to a screeching halt.
A spokesperson from the company verified Tuesday the glitch affecting component orders lead the Japanese car manufacturer to pause operations at its 14 domestic plants. Operations were initially only suspended at 12 plants... More
Vinfast (VFS) becomes third most valuable carmaker as stock surge continues
August 28, 2023 9:10 AM EDTShares of electric-vehicle maker Vinfast (NASDAQ: VFS) surged as much as 30% in premarket trading on Monday morning, extending last weeks rally that saw the Vietnamese carmaker more than quadruple its market value to $160 billion.
A premarket share price of $90.55 indicated that the stock was headed towards increasing its market capitalization by nearly $50 billion.... More
