CVR Energy Reports Second Quarter 2023 Results, Announces a Cash Dividend of 50 cents and a Special Dividend of $1.00

(CVR Energy or the Company) (NYSE: CVI) today announced net income of $130 million, or $1.29 per diluted share, on net sales of $2.2 billion for the second quarter of 2023, compared to net income of $165 million, or $1.64 per diluted share, on net sales of $3.1 billion for the second quarter of 2022. Adjusted earnings for the second quarter of 2023 was $1.64 per diluted share compared to adjusted earnings of $2.45 per diluted share in the second quarter of 2022, with the decline in the current period primarily driven by lower crack spreads.
