(Reuters) - Abercrombie & Fitch Co on Wednesday posted a surprise quarterly profit and lifted its full-year sales forecast, as the clothing retailer banks on its efforts to fill shelves with in-demand goods, sending its shares up as much as 29%.

May 24, 2023 7:31 AM EDTAbercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) reported Q1 EPS of $0.39, $0.38 better than the analyst estimate of $0.01. Revenue for the quarter came in at $836 million versus the consensus estimate of $814.92 million.
Fiscal 2023 Full Year Outlook
The following outlook replaces all previous full year guidance. For fiscal 2023, the company now expects:
