Several Chinese electric vehicle companies reported March deliveries and sales numbers, with BYD and GAC Aion each reporting 97% YoY delivery growth. Aion reported deliveries of 40k unit sales, up 97% YoY/33% MoM, while BYD reported its total Mar sales volume, including both passenger vehicles (PVs) and commercial vehicles (CVs), at 207k units, up 97% YoY/7% MoM.

NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO), a pioneer and a leading company in the premium smart electric vehicle market, today announced its March and first quarter 2023 delivery results.

NIO delivered 10,378 vehicles in March 2023. The deliveries consisted of 3,203 premium smart electric SUVs, and 7,175 premium smart electric sedans. XPeng Inc. (NYSE: XPEV) today announced its vehicle delivery results for March and the first quarter 2023.

In March 2023, XPENG delivered 7,002 Smart EVs, representing a 17% increase over the prior month. Total deliveries for the first quarter of 2023 reached 18,230 vehicles.

Investing.com --- Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) stock fell in premarket trading on Monday after the electric carmaker's deliveries in the first quarter indicated the strain of growing competition.

Tesla said on Sunday it had delivered a record 422,875 vehicles in the first quarter of the year, up 4% from the previous three months and up 36% from the same quarter in 2022.
