Ford (F) reports 456,972 U.S. vehicle sales in 1Q to become America’s best selling brand
April 4, 2023 12:28 PM EDTFord (NYSE: F) reported Tuesday that the automaker sold 456,972 vehicles in the 1Q, an increase of 10.7% compared to the same time last year.
Sales surged across Fords areas of strength, with EVs growing 41.0% in the first quarter on sales of 10,866 electric vehicles. F-150 Lightning sales totaled 4,291 pickups with production capacity actions on track to hit an annual production run rate... More
Stricter EV tax credit rules to take effect on April 18
March 31, 2023 1:53 PM EDTThe U.S. Treasury unveiled Friday stricter electric vehicle tax rules that will reduce or cut tax credits on some zero-emission models but grants buyers another two weeks before the new requirements take effect.
The EV battery sourcing guidance issued Friday triggers new requirements for critical minerals and battery components and takes effect for vehicle purchases starting April 18.
