Novavax (NVAX) And Serum Institute of India Granted Emergency Use Authorization for COVID-19 Vaccine in the Philippines

(Nasdaq: NVAX), a biotechnology company dedicated to developing and commercializing next-generation vaccines for serious infectious diseases, and Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. (SII), the world's largest vaccine manufacturer by volume, today announced that the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted emergency use authorization (EUA) for Novavax' recombinant nanoparticle protein-based COVID-19 vaccine with Matrix-M adjuvant. The vaccine will be manufactured and marketed in the Philippines by SII under the brand name COVOVAX.

(Nasdaq: NVAX), a biotechnology company dedicated to developing and commercializing next-generation vaccines for serious infectious diseases, and SK bioscience, Co. Limited (SK bioscience), a biotechnology company in South Korea, today announced the submission of a Biologics License Application (BLA) for Novavax' COVID-19 vaccine to South Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). NVX-CoV2373, Novavax' recombinant nanoparticle COVID-19 vaccine with Matrix-M adjuvant, is the first protein-based COVID-19 vaccine to be submitted for BLA in Korea.
