American Water Works (AWK) Sells Homeowner Services Group to Apax Partners Funds For $1.275B
October 29, 2021 8:30 AM EDTAmerican Water Works Company, Inc. (NYSE: AWK), the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility company, today announced that it has agreed to sell its Homeowner Services Group to funds advised by Apax in a deal valued at approximately $1.275 billion.
Upon closing of the transaction, American Water will receive $480 million in cash and a $720 million secured Sellers Note bearing a 7% annual interest rate with a five-year term.
