Tenneco (TEN) Tops Q1 EPS by 38c, Revenues Beat; Raises FY21 Revenues Guidance
May 6, 2021 7:10 AM EDTTenneco (NYSE: TEN) reported Q1 EPS of $1.09, $0.38 better than the analyst estimate of $0.71. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.73 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.35 billion.
First quarter 2021 total revenue climbed 23% year-over-year to $4.7 billion. Value-add revenue for the first quarter 2021 increased to $3.6 billion, 13% higher versus the first quarter of last year, excluding positive currency impact of $104 million.The Company reported first quarter 2021 net income of $65 million, or $0.79 per diluted share, versus a net loss of $839 million or $(10.34) per diluted share last year.
