April 26, 2021 7:10 AM EDTNet income of $61.2 million, or $0.28 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2021, compared to $50.1 million, or $0.23 per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2020. The net income for the first quarter of 2021 and fourth quarter of 2020 included the following items of note:
- Provision for credit losses was a net benefit of $15.3 million ($9.5 million after-tax, or an increase of $0.04 per diluted share) for the first quarter of 2021, compared to an expense of $7.7 million ($4.8 million after-tax, or a decrease of $0.02 per diluted share) for the fourth quarter of 2020.
