BD Announces First Fiscal Quarter Results; Raises Fiscal 2021 Guidance
February 4, 2021 6:00 AM ESTFRANKLIN LAKES, N.J., Feb. 4, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE: BDX), a leading global medical technology company, today reported quarterly revenues of $5.315 billion for the first fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2020. This represents an increase of 25.8% over the prior-year period on a reported basis and was primarily driven by the contribution of BD's COVID-19 diagnostic revenues, which totaled $867 million, contributing 20.5 percentage points to the company's total reported revenue growth in the quarter. On a currency-neutral basis, revenues increased 24.3%.Â
