WestRock Reports Ransomware Incident
January 25, 2021 7:20 AM ESTATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- WestRock Company (NYSE: WRK) today announced that on Jan. 23, 2021, the Company detected a ransomware incident impacting certain of its operational and information technology systems.
Promptly upon its detection of the incident, the Company initiated response and containment protocols. The Companys security teams, supplemented by leading cyber defense firms, are working to remediate this incident. The Company has notified law enforcement and reached out to its customers to apprise them of the situation.
