Governor Cuomo Set to Embrace NY Mobile Sports Betting
January 6, 2021 8:04 AM ESTNew York Governor Andrew Cuomo is preparing to embrace NY sports betting in the next weeks State of the State address, according to multiple reports.
This represents a u-turn from Cuomo, who had been refusing to legalize online sports betting in New York. However, huge financial impacts that the pandemic has yielded on businesses has pushed the Governor towards changing his mind. He intends to lay out plans to generate revenue, including the legalized online sports betting.
