Darden Restaurants (DRI) Reports Election of CEO Eugene I. Lee as Board Chair; Names Ricardo Cardenas as President/COO and Rajesh Vennam as CFO

The Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: DRI) Board of Directors has elected Chief Executive Officer Eugene (Gene) I. Lee, Jr. as Chairman of the Board, succeeding Charles (Chuck) M. Sonsteby, effective January 4, 2021. Mr. Sonsteby will become the Board's Lead Independent Director.

Darden Restaurants (NYSE: DRI) reported Q2 EPS of $0.74, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.66 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.71 billion.
