Third Quarter 2020 Record Results and Dividend Increase Reported by Amphenol Corporation
October 21, 2020 8:00 AM EDTWALLINGFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH) reported today record GAAP diluted Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the third quarter 2020 of $1.12 compared to $0.92 for the comparable 2019 period. GAAP diluted EPS for the third quarter 2020 included an excess tax benefit of $11 million ($0.03 per share) related to stock options exercised during the quarter. Third quarter 2019 GAAP diluted EPS included refinancing-related costs of $14 million ($0.04 per share) associated with the early extinguishment of debt, partially offset by an excess tax benefit of $2 million ($0.01 per share) related to stock options exercised during the period.
