Chubb Reports Second Quarter Per Share Net Loss and Core Operating Loss of $(0.73) and $(0.56), Respectively, Including Net Catastrophe Losses of $3.35 Per Share Versus $0.48 Per Share Prior Year
July 28, 2020 4:05 PM EDTZURICH, July 28, 2020 /PRNewswire/ --Â Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) today reported a net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 of $(331) million, or $(0.73) per share, compared with net income of $1,150 million, or $2.50 per share, for the same quarter last year. Core operating loss was $(254) million, or $(0.56) per share, compared with core operating income of $1,195 million, or $2.60 per share, for the same quarter last year. Book and tangible book value per share increased 4.9% and 7.2%, respectively, from March 31, 2020 and now stand at $121.32 and $77.49, respectively.
