BancorpSouth (BXS) Tops Q2 EPS by 23c
July 20, 2020 4:33 PM EDTBancorpSouth (NYSE: BXS) reported Q2 EPS of $0.57, $0.23 better than the analyst estimate of $0.34.
Highlights for the second quarter of 2020 included:
Achieved quarterly net income available to common shareholders of $58.8 million, or $0.57 per diluted common share, and net operating income available to common shareholders excluding MSR of $60.9 million, or $0.59 per diluted common share. Recorded provision for credit losses of $20.0 million primarily as a result of the continued deterioration in certain economic factors included in the Company's allowance for credit losses methodology resulting from the coronavirus ("COVID-19") pandemic.
