Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Announces $12.6 Million Award to Support NASA’s Artemis Spacecraft
June 2, 2020 9:00 AM EDTMELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- June 2, 2020-- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ: CMTL) announced today that during its third quarter of fiscal year 2020, its Mission-Critical Technologies groups Space & Component Technology division, which is part of Comtechs Government Solutions segment, was awarded a contract valued at $12.6 million from a major U.S. prime contractor in support of NASAs Orion Production and Operations Contract (OPOC) or commonly known as the Artemis project. The Artemis project is intended to help NASA carry the first woman and next man to the moon by 2024.
