February 5, 2020 4:15 PM ESTARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AvalonBay Communities, Inc. (NYSE: AVB) (the Company) reported today that Net Income Attributable to Common Stockholders for the three months ended December 31, 2019 was $167,650,000. This resulted in a decrease in Earnings per Share diluted (EPS) for the three months ended December 31, 2019 of 57.0% to $1.20 from $2.79 for the prior year period.
Funds from Operations attributable to common stockholders - diluted (FFO) per share for the three months ended December 31, 2019 increased 9.7% to $2.38 from $2.17 for the prior year period.
